Cedar Plank Salmon

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Servings: 6 persons

Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (2 pounds), skin removed

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

3 (12”) untreated cedar planks

1 ½ tablespoons rice vinegar

⅓ cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

¼ cup green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, grated

⅓ cup vegetable oil

Directions

Soak the cedar planks in warm water for an hour.

Stir the vegetable oil together with green onions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a shallow dish. Place the salmon fillets in the marinade; turning it several times until nicely coated. Cover & let marinate for an hour.

Preheat an outdoor grill over medium heat. Place the planks over the grate.

Place the salmon fillets onto the planks; discarding the marinade. Cover & grill until flakes easily with a fork, for 15 to 20 minutes.
